Curing:
Curing is the process of maintaining adequate moisture content on surface of freshly placed concrete for some specified time(24 hrs) for hardening of concrete.
Curing period:
- Minimum curing period - 7 days
- maximum curing period - 28 days
Reason for curing:
The concrete can achieve their compression strength by absorb water from inside of concrete.that water may evaporated through voids on surface of concrete by atmospheric temperature.To control evaporation of water from inside of concrete by sealing of surface voids on concrete by water(curing)
